Topshop Clothing To Be Sold At Nordstrom Throughout The US

TopShop adGuess what, fashion lovers? British retailer Topshop is coming to the US, this time en mass. No more going to New York, Chicago or Vegas (or Europe, for that matter) to get your hands on their stylish, affordable clothes and accessories. The brand has teamed up with high-end department store Nordstrom to sell their clothes both in stores and online (yes, this means no more converting the prices from pounds!!).

Wow. And we thought the Target/Neiman Marcus collab was big news.

Starting in September, Nordstrom will be putting Topshop clothing in 14 of their biggest locations (Austin, San Jose, King of Prussia, etc.) and online. They’ll be testing the market to see how the brand performs here in the US, and I have no doubt that the results will be favorable. I don’t think I’m alone in saying that I’ve been waiting for Topshop to properly make it’s way here for what seems like forever.  After the initial run, it’s likely that the line will expand to the 117 Nordstrom stores across the country.

As a Nordstrom shopper for a good many years, I think the addition of Topshop will fill a huge gap in what the department store offers in terms of clothing that is simultaneously stylish, youthful and accessible. I’ve always felt that Nordstrom lacks middle ground between their usually disappointing junior’s section (BP.) and the clothes that I actually want to buy but can’t afford. Sure, they do offer brands like Free People and Juicy Couture, but I think adding Topshop will speak to the slightly older, young professional/fashionista crowd that’s looking for something more sophisticated and on-trend.

Nice move, Nordstrom. I approve.

Topshop is famous for working with celebrities and designers like Kate Moss and Alexander McQueen and is one of the biggest fashion retailers in Britain.

Nordstrom will also be offering clothing from Topshop’s brother store, Topman.

What do you think of this new partnership? And more importantly, how excited are you? Leave us a comment and share your thoughts!
