The Five Must-Have Apps For Busy Women
It seems like, once the school year starts, I’m never at my computer until the end of the day. I’m always running around and, unless I want to lug my computer with me, my iPhone is my sole connection to the Interwebz. Because of that, I’ve discovered some fantastic apps that make my life more manageable.
Twitter, Facebook, etc.
This probably goes without saying, but since I spend so much of my time on them, I figured they warranted mentioning. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Pinterest, if it’s a social media network, I have the app. These apps keep me connected to my friends around campus and around the world. I would spend waaay less time on my phone if I didn’t have them.
Flipboard
Not only is Flipboard a good time waster, but it keeps me up-to-date on my favorite websites as well! Flipboard is a “personalized magazine” of your favorite websites, blogs, and publications in a sleek app. Just add some of your favorite websites (like Lifehacker, Refinery29, The New York Times) and with a flick of your finger you can look at their most recent stories! It’s great for keeping informed when you have a spare minute to kill.
P Tracker
Okay, I’m going to get personal with you ladies. P Tracker is a fantastic app that tracks your period. It’s really easy to use, discreet, and cute! It’s easy to keep track of when your period is coming up (which can surprise you if you’ve had a lot on your mind), when you’re fertile or ovulating, and you can track your symptoms each month! I have the upgraded version, but the lite version is great as well! I’m a bit of a graph nerd, so I love the graphs on the length of my cycle, symptoms, and such the upgraded version gives me. If you’re just looking to track your period, however, the lite version is definitely adequate!
Walgreens
When I get super busy, I often don’t have a whole lot of time to get a prescription, or I will put if off until the last minute. The Walgreens app is great for refilling prescriptions and finding the closest one to you if you’re in a new area. I love that I can just refill on my phone with the click of a button!
Qrank
This is my favorite time-wasting app. I’m a trivia junkie and this is an awesome social trivia game. Everyday, it has 15 new questions to answer, often based on current events. It gives badges for unlocking achievements and is a great way to waste a few minutes and still learn a few things as well!
What are your favorite apps? What do you find most useful, and what’s a waste of time and money? Tell us in the comments!
