Bring out the lined paper and sharpen your pencils, because it’s time to go back to school! Even though I personally won’t be going back, I thought I’d show those who are an easy and cute design to wear on your nails to hopefully make your days of study a little more fun.

Materials

-       Base and top coat
-       White nail polish
-       Light blue nail polish pen (you could also use a thin nail brush dipped in blue polish)
-       Red or pink nail polish pen or thin nail brush
-       Yellow/orange nail polish (I mixed an old yellow with a small amount of red to get a color close to a pencil)
-       Dusty pink nail polish
-       Silver nail polish

Step 1

Start off by painting each nail white except your ring finger. Paint the top of your ring finger’s nail yellow/orange and the lower half pink.

Step 2

Draw horizontal lines of blue on your nails over the white once it has dried. Finish it off with a red vertical line on the left side of each nail. It helps to place your hand on a flat surface to make it easier to create a straight line.

Step 3

In the middle of the yellow/orange and pink, use the silver polish and make a thicker line where the two colors join.

Step 4

Finish off with a topcoat (SECHE VITE!) to seal in the design and you’re ready to go to class!
